By creating an account or using Lintel ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Lintel. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance.
Lintel provides home inspection software including field data capture, report generation, client delivery, agent relationship management, and scheduling tools. The Service is available via web browser at lintel.ink and associated mobile applications.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use Lintel for your home inspection business. You may not:

You retain all rights to inspection data, client information, reports, and photos you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant Lintel a limited license to store, process, and transmit your data solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your data. You can export your data at any time via Settings.
Lintel, including all software, design, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Lintel and protected by intellectual property laws. The 500+ defect library narratives provided with the Service are licensed to you for use within Lintel and may not be exported and redistributed.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@lintel.ink. Upon request, we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days. Cancelling your subscription does not automatically delete your account or data — request deletion separately if desired. Upon termination, reports remain accessible at their links for 90 days.
Inspection reports delivered through the Service are accessible to anyone with the report link. You are responsible for ensuring you have proper authorization to share property and client information. Agent portal links are persistent and publicly accessible — do not share portal links with unauthorized parties.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. LINTEL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Lintel is a tool to help you document and communicate your inspection findings. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or professional adequacy of the inspections you perform or the reports you generate. You are responsible for complying with all applicable licensing and professional standards in your jurisdiction.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINTEL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold Lintel harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your inspection reports and professional activities.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of Lintel constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.
